Multi-engine rating skill test MEP (land)

To perform the skill test in multi-engine MEP (land), must first have completed the course at a flight school FTO. The applicant for a flight test shall have received instruction in an airplane in accordance with the program. The examiner may stop the test at any time if it considers that the applicant's demonstration of flying skill requires a full repetition. At the discretion of the examiner, may be repeated again by the applicant any maneuver or procedure of the test / verification. The applicant will be required to fly the airplane from a position in which functions are performed as pilot in command and perform the test as if he was the only member of the crew. The applicant will be responsible for flight planning and that all equipment and documentation necessary for the completion of the flight are on board. The applicant must indicate to the examiner tests and tasks performed, including the identification of radio. The checklists will be made in accordance with lists approved for the plane to be testing. During pre-flight preparation for the test will require the applicant to determine the power and speeds. Performance data for take-off, approach and landing shall be calculated by the applicant in accordance with the Operator Manual and the Airplane Flight Manual used.

Performing the skill test for obtaining the MEP (land)

PART 1: DOCUMENTAL

From the applicant: student pilot card, medical certificate, logbook, school recommendation for test and training record.

From the aircraft: registration certificate, airworthiness certificate, aircraft station license, certificate of noise, approved maintenance program, the examiner insurance is covered, airplane and engine log.

From the flight: ATC flight plan, the operational flight plan, weight and balance, Weather and Notams.

PART 2: FLIGHT

Pre-flight maneuvers, emergencies, touches and goes.

Tolerances: Normal flight +-100ft, + -5 º navaids and + -5 º heading; simulated engine failure +-100ft, + -10 °; cruise, climb, approach +-5Kts; simulated engine failure +10Kts/-5Kts; VAT / VREF +5Kts/-0Kts; Vyse +-5Kts.

Minimum flight time 60 minutes.
